At least 14 people, including German, Austrian and Swiss citizens, are missing after a landslide in southeastern Switzerland on Wednesday, Xinhua news agency quoted local police as saying.

Several small villages in the Val Bondasca region were evacuated due to the landslide.

A search and rescue operation is underway.
