For 3.8 million blind and visually impaired people in China, masseur is the default vocation. Amid the darkness that has shadowed the career paths of the blind because of social prejudice and preconceptions, a new ray of light shone last July, when the Traditional Chinese Medicine Law was introduced. The new law gave qualified blind masseurs and masseuses the same rights as sighted people to work in medical institutions. CGTN talked with four blind massage therapists on the law and career change.
