Three tourists from Taiwan killed in landslide in central China

At least three tourists from Taiwan were killed and two others injured in a landslide on Sunday at the Three Gorges scenic spot in central China’s Hubei Province, Phoenix TV reported.
The tour group containing 45 people were traveling to the Three Gorges Tribe scenic area when rocks tumbled onto their tour bus.
The injured victims have been hospitalized, and the rescue work is underway.
Ma Xiaoguang, spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, expressed deep condolences to the victims and expressed heartfelt sympathy to their families.
Ma said the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office and the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits paid much attention to the incident and an emergency response mechanism has been activated immediately.
Officials will be dispatched to the scene to handle the follow up issues, said Ma.
