San Francisco’s Silicon Valley has long been associated with innovation of all kinds, but now it is branching out into new territory which gets right to the heart – or stomach – of its workforce.
A number of companies in the home of tech are introducing free or low-cost gourmet meals into their staff cafeterias, replacing the traditional soggy salads and cardboard sandwiches.
Some companies say the move isn’t just a wise investment for attracting top-flight talent, but also increases long-term productivity.
But Food and Beverage Program Manager Anna Bohbot says food is not only a wise investment for attracting talent, but also for long-term productivity.
