Korean Peninsula Diplomacy: Inter-Korean summit to be held April 27

The DPRK and South Korea will hold their first summit in more than a decade on April 27. South Korean government officials announced the date after holding high-level talks with their DPRK counterparts this morning in the truce village of Panmunjom in the DMZ. The meeting between DPRK leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in will also take place there. Both sides will hold a working-level meeting on April 4 to hammer out the details, such as staffing support and security.
