Highway police in southwest China's Yunnan Province herded 47 heads of cattle off of a local highway, after the truck transporting the livestock caught on fire on Sunday.
The incident started early on Sunday morning when smoke began to spew out of the hood of the truck on a highway in Nanhua County. The truck's cabin subsequently went up in flames, with fears of the fire spreading to the trailer, leaving the cattle with nowhere to go.
Local highway police and firefighters soon arrived at the scene after the incident was reported. They closed the highway and started to extinguish the fire, while some police officers helped the truck driver to free the cattle and lead them to safety.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
