The Republic of Korea's (ROK) Defense Ministry announced on Monday that the US Forces Korea (USFK) will soon install the four remaining THAAD missile defense launchers at its new southern base after the completion of an environmental assessment by the government, Yonhap News Agency reported.
The deployment decision was made by President Moon Jae-in in the face of growing tension sparked by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), which conducted its sixth and most powerful nuclear test on Sunday.
