Robots assist passengers, clean floors at South Korean airport
[]
In South Korea's Incheon International Airport, two robot prototypes have been deployed: the Airport Guide Robot and the Airport Cleaning Robot.
Airport Guide Robots can take passengers directly to their gate, display a map of the airport, and give people information on flights or the weather in their final destination. Troika, as one robot is called, can answer questions in English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
The Airport Cleaning Robots are programmed to assist airport maintenance teams, and collect any debris it encounters on its rounds. As the robots have a map of the airport in their system, they can choose the best route for cleaning.
