A robot saved a little girl from being crushed by a falling shelf in Russia by quickly holding on to the toppling unit, thereby giving the girl a chance to escape.
Footage shows a girl climbing on a metal shelf. A nearby robot somehow senses the danger and moved forward. As the shelf began to fall on the girl, the robot stretched out his arm to support the shelf.
The incident reportedly happened in Perm Polytechnic University in central Russia. The robot's creator claims it carried out the maneuver all by itself – as it was a "mirror mode,” which enables it to emulate human action.
