Over the past few weeks, a new game has captured public imagination in China – an online quiz. Participants get to answer a series of questions at the same time, and those who answer correctly get to split the winning prize which can be as high as several million yuan.
More than 200,000 people gather online at the same time to answer 12 questions.

The game has gained popularity in a very short period of time. Based on a popular US game HQ Trivia, more than half a dozen live video streaming websites in China are offering similar games to users, with a prize pool as high as tens of millions of yuan. People get ready several times a day to take part in the online tests.
Elliott Zaagman, a corporate trainer focusing on Chinese companies, pointed out that live streaming in general has been going on for a couple of years in China.
The son of Wang Jianlin, one of the richest people in China, offered 100,000 RMB in one quiz game show.
