Affected by heavy smog, students of Xinghua Elementary School in Shijiangzhuang, in north China’s Hebei Province moved their sports lesson to an inflated gym on Wednesday.

The inflated construction, made of membranes, is 50 meters long and 20 meters wide, and equipped with an air distributor, ventilator and a filter system.

One can also regulate the room temperature and lighting, and monitor the interior air quality as well.

Northern China has experienced severe smog over the past week, with Beijing declaring an orange alert.
