China's State Council Information Office or SCIO has held its New Year Reception at the National Museum of China in Beijing. The event gathered more than four hundred diplomats, journalists and spokespersons of major Chinese ministries. The head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China's Central Committee -- Huang Kunming -- attended the event and exchanged ideas with those present. He encouraged attendees to tell China stories in more innovative ways. He also urged them to create more works marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which falls in 2019.
