‍Artificial intelligence (AI) robots are nowadays more common than you think; some of them can assist in heavy works while others can participate in conversations.
In Sweden, people are introduced to Furhat, a social robot which can interact with people.
Developed by Stockholm’s Royal Institute of Technology, the robot is expected to possess social intelligence that resembles humans' personalities, gestures, and intonations – an interface between humans and technology.

The 3D-projected face of the robot can mimic human expressions, and it is built on a software platform, or its “brain”.
It can be changed into different identities, genders, and even into animals according to different situations. Furhat is meant to become a platform just like our cell phones and computers. It will create a new way of interacting with information.
For instance, in the field of social training, a robot like Furhat could become a good aid. It would train people to be better at different social skills.

The social robot is pushing the boundaries of human-robot interfaces and expanding the scope of how and where the technology can be applied.
Social intelligence is the main goal for the future, as long as developers can conquer the most difficult fortress. The most difficult part in building a robot is to give it logic.
The robot's reaction of what it saw and heard is a problematic research issue, mainly because developers don’t have the data needed to train the robot to respond in the same way a human being would.
