Mongolia presidential run-off election result expected on Sunday

Mongolia went to the polls on Friday for the second round of its presidential election.
The race went to a run-off after none of the three candidates won a majority late last month.
The populist former martial arts star, Khalt-maa Battulga of the opposition Democratic Party won the most votes, but fell short of the required majority, the General Election Committee said earlier on Tuesday.
Battulga is facing parliament speaker Miey-gombo Enkh-bold of the ruling Mongolian People's Party.
The election has been perceived as a referendum on the government's economic recovery plans.
Battulga, who is regarded as a resource nationalist had been confident about the election.
"I never lose, I must win. I always win in the history of my life," Battulga said during an interview with Reuters late on Monday before the preliminary results were announced.
The result of the run-off vote is expected to be announced on Sunday.
