With 200 million currently on the roads, China has the world's highest number of electronic bikes. But they have been under severe criticism for causing numerous road accidents. Recently, the country has drafted new regulations to enhance safety standards for e-bikes, including new speed limit (25km/h max) and vehicle weight (55kg max).
