Hong Kong Housing Crisis: Local architect proposes affordable tube homes to graduates
[]
Hong Kong's housing is the most expensive in the world. Local architect James Law proposed the building of micro-apartments inside large concrete pipes so recent graduates living on strained incomes have affordable housing. The 2.5-meter wide circular walled apartment contains a living room and bathroom. It can fit into tight places, like gaps between buildings or under flyovers. Rent will be for less than 400 US dollars a month.
