Now to Kenya, where the capital city of Nairobi has hosted an International Cultural Festival. The theme focused on the spirit of diversity. CGTN's Terry Wangari has more.
People from all walks of life turned up at the Nairobi International Cultural festival to celebrate diversity.
Held annually since 2012, the festival promotes inter-cultural cooperation through different aspects of culture. This year's event provided a good opportunity to learn more about different cultures.

China was among the countries well represented at the festival. A team from the Confucius Institute performed a spectacular dance routine capturing different aspects of Chinese culture. The festival welcomed new countries like Iran and South Korea, showing there's a growing interest in cultural exchanges.

TERRY WANGARI NAIROBI, KENYA This year's festival saw representatives from China, South Korea, Argentina, Sudan, Botswana, and many others come together to celebrate diversity. From art, to dance, to more importantly, the food.
International and local cuisine were on offer, as well as jewelery, paintings and traditional outfits. The event also attracted a number of schools keen to learn about different cultures.
"It's amazing actually. We've seen all, like, all the continents. For myself, I study Japanese and we were just there. There were so many cultural exchanges and as you can see, I am wearing my African outfit. I am very happy to meet everybody in the continent."
"It's very interesting to have cultures like China, to see my country represented in Mexico, it's really good."
