The Philippines makes donation to China's landslide victims

The Philippines's PDP-Laban party has donated 500,000 peso (about 10,000 US dollars) to the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Monday to help the people affected by the massive landslide in Maoxian county, southwest China's Sichuan Province, CCTV's Huang Zhengzheng reported.  
Alfonso Cusi, vice chairman of PDP-Laban party and secretary of energy,made the donation to China  on behalf of the party.  It was accepted by Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua on behalf of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Cusi said the party shared the same sorrow for the catastrophe that happened on June 24, and offered their deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences to the people affected via this donation. He said they believed that under the leadership of the CPC, the local people will soon rebuild their homeland and go back to normal life.

Zhao expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the party, emphasizing that the kind donation fully reflects the friendly policy towards China by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and the profound friendship of the Philippine people to the Chinese. 
He believed the friendly cooperation between the PDP-Laban party and CPC will progress to new steps, adding fresh incentives to the further development of relations between the two countries.
