The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is getting ever more inclusive by incorporating the best Chinese minds from all over the world. Professor Yang Peidong, a Berkeley carbon chemist, received a special invite this year. In an exclusive interview, Yang told CGTN senior correspondent Tian Wei how he is involved in a US mission to find the resources to produce oxygen on Mars. He's also providing advice on research funding, including the most important basic forms.
