Soyuz spacecraft blasts off, carrying three crew members to the space station from Russia's manned launch facility in Kazakhstan, at 3:17 a.m. local time on Wednesday, entering orbit nine minutes later. Two US astronauts and a Russian cosmonaut arrived at the International Space Station about six hours later, and they will stay on the space station for about five and a half months.
