The PyeongChang Olympics closing ceremony will be held on February 25. As the host of the next Winter Games, Beijing will stage the last eight-minute segment of the ceremony in the S. Korean county.
It is a tradition for the succeeding host city to use the ceremony to showcase what's in store in four years' time and to send out an invitation to the athletes of the world to gather again.

As the chief of performance coordination, Zhang Shurong sat down with CGTN’s Tracey Holmes to reveal some "secrets" of the show.
He said that director Zhang Yimou will abandon the huge-crowd strategy he used to use before. Only 24 performers will take the stage this time and technology will play a big part in the segment.

According to Zhang, the last eight minutes will reprise the situation in the film "Great Wall" as they use all kinds of color elements.
"I don't know if I'm being a whistle-blower," he said. "Our performance area is a round stage, and director Zhang will showcase his art inside the stage. And on the floor of the stage, we'll see an excellent film, but I can't tell you what it is.
"I hope all of you can watch it on February 25... The color is amazing, and it will be very delicate; the interaction of the stage with our performance, you will hardly find it anywhere else in the world."
