Japanese short-track speed skater Kei Saito failed an out-of-competition doping test and was expelled from the PyeongChang Olympic Games, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said on Tuesday.
This is the first doping case in PyeongChang.
The 21-year-old athlete failed a test in the lead-up to the event, the anti-doping authority said in a statement. Saito has voluntarily left the athletes’ Olympic Village.
