China Weather: Full flood season arrives with heavy rainfall in some areas

The annual wet season is here, as parts of China are witnessing record-breaking rainfall. CGTN's Sun Ye has more.
China enters full flood season Tuesday. With torrential rains slashing the country's south and north. Even more rain is predicted for the upcoming dragon boat festival, especially in the coastal south, but expert says they will all be manageable.
ZHOU BING CHIEF ENGINEER, NATIONAL CLIMATE CENTER "We will not be facing a record-breakingly bad rainy season, based on our monitors of various factors."
The climate conditions that are bringing India extreme heat, and inundated Japan's Kagoshima lately would soon relent too.
ZHOU BING CHIEF ENGINEER, NATIONAL CLIMATE CENTER "The countries surrounding China are under the same influences. For this year, we see El Nino has a weakening grip on East Asia. That means less chance for tropical storms."
But Zhou cautions that there is still a need to fend the waters.
