The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has successfully tested a hydrogen bomb designed to be mounted on its newly developed intercontinental ballistic missile, reported state TV on Sunday.
At 11:30 a.m. BJT (0330 GMT), a 6.3-magnitude "earthquake" was reported near the site where the DPRK had detonated nuclear explosions in the past, with the epicenter of the quake detected at a depth of 0 km.
The announcement came hours after the KCNA released pictures of DPRK's leader Kim Jong Un inspecting what it said was a new hydrogen bomb.
