The third plenary session of the 19th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee concluded on Wednesday in Beijing with a communique issued.

The three-day meeting, convened from Monday, was held days before the country's Two Sessions.

Present at the plenum were 202 full members and 171 alternate members of the Central Committee of the CPC. Deputy secretaries of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and senior officials of relevant departments were also present at the meeting.

This plenum was chaired by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. The plenary meeting heard and discussed a work report delivered by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, who was entrusted by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.

The lists of proposed candidates for state leadership positions and proposed candidates for leadership of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, respectively, were deliberated at the plenary session. 

The list of proposed candidates for state leadership positions will be recommended to the presidium of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) and the proposed candidate list for the leadership of the CPPCC National Committee will be recommended to the presidium of the first session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee.

The plenum fully affirmed the work of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee since the first plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

The plenum thought highly of the roles of the first session of the 13th NPC and the first session of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC in mobilizing the people of all ethnic groups across the country to build a  moderately prosperous society in all aspects and to work hard developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. The NPC and CPPCC National Committee annual sessions are scheduled to open on March 5 and March 3, respectively.

According to the communique, the plenary session reviewed and adopted a structural reform plan of the Party and state institutions by the CPC Central Committee.

The session also agreed to put part of the reform plan to deliberation at the first session of the 13th NPC in accordance with due legal procedures.
