The Phase IV project of the Shanghai Yangshan deepwater port, the largest automated container terminal in the world, starts operation on Sunday. The system can operate while being completely unmanned because it adopts automatic systems to manage the port and for the first time in China, the process of customs inspection and clearance can now be done automatically.
