Born on August 29, 1958 Michael Jackson is a true music legend. Dubbed "The King of Pop" he remains one of the best-selling artists of all time, known as much for his colorful personal life as for his timeless music. Starting out performing alongside his brothers as part of the Jackson 5, he went on to become an iconic solo performer, racking up a string of hit singles throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s. His 1982 album "Thriller" is the best-selling record of all time with sales in the region of 65 million while his groundbreaking music videos helped create a new art form and usher in the MTV generation. He popularized the "Moonwalk" and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.
