China's top political advisory body has begun its annual session in Beijing. They vow to continue to progress toward the goal of creating a "great modern socialist country". It marks the official start of China's annual political season known as the "Two Sessions". Over the next two weeks, more than two thousand members of the 13th CPPCC National Committee will raise proposals regarding politics, social development, and the economy to lawmakers of the National People's Congress.
