19TH CPC NATIONAL CONGRESS

Designed as a millennium national plan, the new economic zone will serve as Beijing's sub-center to promote regional integration with coordinated, innovation-driven development. 
TRUMP VISITS CHINA
The US president paid his first official visit to China with the aim of boosting bilateral relations. The trip saw more than 250 billion US dollars in trade and investment deals.
BELT & ROAD FORUM
The Belt and Road Initiative made headway in 2017, as representatives of global and regional economies discussed practical cooperation in Beijing for win-win outcomes. 
ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION
From high-speed to high-quality, the world's second largest economy stands ready for a greener and smarter future, while maintaining 6.8 percent growth. In 2017, China contributed to over one-third of global economic growth. 
 MILITARY REFORM 
China pushed forward its military reform to build a modern army loyal to the CPC leadership. Eighteen army groups were reduced to 13, a major step from quantity to quality. Lighting the space beacon. China's quantum communications satellite broke the world record in distance, propelling the nation forward to become a powerhouse of cutting-edge technology.
BOX OFFICE RECORDS 
Chinese blockbusters this year smashed box office records, raking in a historic 50 billion yuan in ticket sales, a 19-percent surge compared to last year.
