Yuan at 1-Month Low: PBOC sets yuan mid-point at 6.3530 per US dollar

Now to the currency market. China's central bank on Thursday set its official yuan mid-point to 6.3530 per US dollar, lower from last trading day's 6.3428, which was on February 14 before the Spring Festival holiday.
That means the yuan is now at the weakest level in nearly a month, in catching up with the US dollar's movements in overseas markets. The yuan has been rising since the beginning of this year to a 30-month-high. Experts say the strengthened yuan is mainly supported by the dollar's weakening, and that would generate a lot of pressure on China's exports.
