French police have shot and detained a man suspected of being behind the car attack on soldiers in a Paris suburb on Wednesday, AFP reported citing security sources.
On Wednesday morning, six soldiers were injured, two of them seriously, after they were hit by a vehicle in the suburb of Levallois-Perret, police reported.
The incident happened at around 0600 GMT outside a military barracks.

Mayor of Levallois-Perret, Patrick Balkany, said there was "no doubt" the incident was a deliberate act.
Balkany told the BFMTV news channel that a BMW had been waiting for the soldiers and accelerated towards them when they came on duty.
French Defense Minister Florence Parly condemned the incident as a "cowardly act".
The anti-terrorism unit of the Paris prosecutors' office ordered a probe into the incident.
A state of emergency has been in place in France since November 2015 after a series of terrorist incidents.
