Chinese comprehensive research vessel "Kexue", meaning "Science" in Chinese, returned to the east China port city of Qingdao, after a 41-day expedition to the Magellan Seamounts in the West Pacific on April 19. The team collected 33 cobalt-rich rock samples and obtained precise topographic maps of two seamounts.
