Malaysia's newly-elected Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has announced his top cabinet picks, and barred his predecessor, Najib Razak, from leaving the country. It comes after an electoral defeat that ended Najib's coalition's 60-year grip on power. The new prime minister says there is enough evidence to re-open a corruption investigation involving Najib, who resigned as the head of his party Saturday. Our correspondent Rian Maelzer reports from Kuala Lumpur.

The immigration department then announced it had blacklisted the former PM and his wife, barring them from leaving the country, Najib quickly confirming the news.
Najib later called a press conference to announce he was quitting as head of his party and alliance.
