It's the opening of a new academic year again. Students in most part of the world are going back or having their first day at school these days. Ever wondered which country in the world offers the best education system?
The World Top 20 Project has published its report on the world's top education systems predicting who will take the number one spot for 2017. The report is powered by NJ MED (New Jersey Minority Educational Development), a nonprofit organization that focuses on helping every kid from around the world receive a quality education and learn in a safe learning environment.
The mission of this report is to compare how countries prepare their future leaders in the 21st century. It examines early childhood enrollment ratings, test scores in reading, math, and science at all levels of education – lower and upper primary, high school and university.
In most countries, educational data is not available. Only 85 countries out 209 educational information apply to current day status, noted the NJ MED.
Below are the prediction rankings for 2017 of top 10 countries based on last year’s report. See which countries are serious about making the world a better place.
As the year continues, this list is subject to change. Maybe the United Kingdom will settle the challenges with their teachers and move up in the ranking, Norway’s international test scores could shoot through the roofs, or Hong Kong primary schools' test scores and completion rate could shake up the rankings. Either way, it’s a big accomplishment what these top 10 schools have done for their country. Let’s celebrate their wins as they continue to push for a better future in education for the 21st century.
