Government officials, business leaders and academic experts gathered on October 6 and 7 in the Greek island of Rhodes to discuss current issues including globalization, multipolarity in regional and global developments and demands for a new global security architecture.
CGTN Dialogue was in attendance, producing two special shows in collaboration with Greek Public TV ERT.
Can the US maintain its post-war primacy at a time emerging markets are unanimously asking to be included in a fair international economic and political order? That's what CGTN's Yang Rui asked in the first episode of Dialogue's special series "World Special".
Guest speakers included Dominique De Villepin, former prime minister of France, Vladimir Yakunin, chairman of the Supervisory Board of DOC Research Institute, Jia Qingguo, dean of the School of International Studies at Peking University and Constadinos Filis, research director of Institute of International Relations.

Fanis Papathanasiou from Greek Public TV ERT co-hosted the show with Yang, and the two engaged in an in-depth discussion about the issues related to the evolving international order.
The second edition of the show welcomed Jiahong Chen, head of research with Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute, Jan Figel, European commissioner for education, Ian Goldin, former adviser to Nelson Mandela and professor at the University of Oxford, and Eva Kaili, member of the European Parliament for Greece. They explored how ancient civilizations should deal with the multiple challenges in a world marked by dramatic changes, and how solutions can be found where western democracies have failed.
CGTN will air the special two-episode edition of Dialogue in mid-October.
