Beijing has launched an investigation into officials from the local authorities of Chaoyang District for their absence of supervision in the case about the child abuse allegation at the RYB kindergarten, local media reported on Wednesday.

All three of the officials were from the district’s Education Commission.

Members of staff at a private kindergarten in Beijing’s Chaoyang District have been accused of child abuse, sparking outrage nationwide. Police on Saturday arrested a 22-year-old teacher allegedly involved in the horrifying child abuse scandal.
