The Chinese women's red team played their final game of the East Asian football championship on Friday beating S. Korea to grab the victory.
The E-1 Championship, formerly called the East Asian Cup, started in 2003, with this year's being the seventh edition. China has never claimed a trophy on the women's side.
In fact the team was trying to grab their first win of any kind under new coach Sigurdur Eyjolfsson who has only been in charge for a month.

China’s red team played in yellow, Chinese striker Wang Shanshan  scored the first goal in the 17th minute with a clever back-heel to give China a 1-0 lead.
At the 35th minute, the Steel Roses forced a turnover, and got a little lucky, as Zhang Rui's shot deflected off defender Kim Doyeon and landed in the net.
S. Korea got on the scoresheet in the 85th minute as Kang Yumi fired it home after some confusion in the area. But China added a late marker, as the Korean keeper strayed from her net, and her clearance was picked off by Ren Guixin.
