Chinese President Xi Jinping’s keynote speech at the Boao Forum for Asia on Tuesday signaled that the pace of China’s 40 years of reform and opening up would only continue.
The president’s four-point plan emphasized improvements to market access for foreign enterprises, making China a better environment for investment, protecting intellectual property rights and increasing the scale of imports.
So what did Boao delegates think?
The forum attracts top names from the realms of business, politics, media, and culture – CGTN Digital took the pulse of the international crowd immediately after Xi outlined his plan.
Delegates including Chinese actress Liu Tao, the US Chamber of Commerce’s Myron Brilliant, Orix Corporation chairman Yoshihiko Miyauchi, former French prime minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin, and former Australian foreign minister Bob Carr, were just some of those to share their views.
