Now let's take a look at the ousted US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and his successor, Mike Pompeo.
Before Tillerson became secretary of state, he was chairman and chief executive of ExxonMobil for 11 years. He'd been with the company since 1975.
Tillerson had good ties with President Vladimir Putin of Russia, making business deals on behalf of Exxon and opposing sanctions.
Tillerson's successor, Mike Pompeo was the member of the United States House of Representatives for Kansas's 4th congressional district from 2011 to 2017. He's served as director of the Central Intelligence Agency since January 23, 2017.
