Darius Adams led the Xinjiang basketball team to a hard-won victory over the Beijing Flying Dragons in a Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league match on Thursday night.
Adams took the lead for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers, garnering 41 points and 10 assists alone.
The teams were neck and neck during the fourth quarter, with a three-pointer from Xinjiang’s Xu Mengjun tipping the score in his team’s favor at 85-83.
But Beijing would come back, with Shavlik Randolf and Xinjiang’s Adams each hitting a three-pointer to tie at 105-105, bringing the game into overtime.
Adams and his team then took control to win 117-111.
Other major point contributors for Xinjiang included Yu Changdong, with 26 points and 8 rebounds, and Sun Tonglin, with 19 points. Meanwhile, Beijing’s Randolf got the team-high of 40 points and 13 rebounds, with Stephon Marbury and Zaid Abbass each contributing 15 points.
Elsewhere on Thursday, Guangsha beat Tianjin 117-89. Shanxi won over Bayi 114-105.
