Earlier, CGTN's Jessica Stone spoke to Professor Qian Jun of Fudan University about the pace of China's financial services reforms and the impact of US-China trade tensions on cross border investment.
Q1: Professor, obviously, President Xi Jinping has talked about the reforms that China is implementing in its economic sector. What's been the effect of the effort that China has made to reduce foreign equity caps in its financial sectors?
Q2: President Xi also made a commitment to IP protection for foreign firms. What I hear from American companies is that it's not a legal problem, it's an enforcement problem. What are your thoughts on that?
Q3: You follow merger and acquisition regulations on both sides of the Pacific. Tell us your take on the new regulations that the US implemented with respect to mergers and acquisitions coming from China? and are Chinese firms here discouraged?
