More than 500 people, including 133 foreign tourists, were blocked by a mudslide in a mountainous area in the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, southwestern Russia, Russian media reported on Friday citing sources in the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
No Chinese citizens were among the trapped tourists, according to a statement posted on the website of the Chinese embassy in Russia.

The mudslide originated from the slopes of the Adyl-Su mountain after the levels of water in the Baksan River rose, trapping 27 tourist bases and 49 registered tour groups from 14 foreign countries, Sputnik reported.
