'Holding Mom's Hand': Online campaign calls for more love for mothers

"How long has it been since you held your mom's hands?" This simple but thought-provoking question has been rife on Chinese social media, during the Spring Festival holiday.
The People's Daily launched an online campaign last Monday, encouraging people to hold their mothers' hands. In a two-minute video, President Xi can be seen holding his mother's hand and taking a walk with her. His voice in the background is reciting an ancient Chinese poem about the deep love from mothers.
Touched and encouraged, sons and daughters across the country have joined in and shared their photos and stories, on social media. Many celebrities are among those who expressed their love and respect for the person who raised them and was always by their side.
