A Hong Kong court on Wednesday sentenced Joshua Wong Chi-fung, a participant in the illegal “Occupy Central” movement, to three months in prison for contempt of court after obstructing a court order to clear a protest site in the city in November 2014.
Thousands of students took to the streets in Hong Kong's major commercial and tourism areas in 2014 as part of the “Occupy Central” movement, halting public transportation and businesses in the city’s downtown.
