US releases photos of Russian fighter jet intercepting US aircraft

The United States European Command has released a set of photos allegedly showing a Russian fighter jet intercepting a US reconnaissance aircraft over the neutral Baltic Sea.

The US military said the Russian Su-27's move on June 19 was highly dangerous. Russia's defense ministry earlier said in a statement the incident happened when two US RC-135 reconnaissance jets tried to approach Russian airspace.
The ministry said one of the planes made a provocative turn towards Russian jets during the interception.
