Just prior to President Xi's visit, we sat down with Rwandan President Paul Kagame. He said he values China's development experiences. CGTN's Christy Scull has more.
Rwanda has witnessed rapid economic development, as well as social stability and effective governance in recent years. And part of that is the result of learning from the experiences of various countries. The Belt and Road Initiative has been one of the country's inspirations.
Regarding governance within the country, President Kagame calls Xi Jinping reform-minded, saying his practice of fighting corruption makes China mighty.
President Xi Jinping will arrive in Rwanda tonight. This is the first time that a Chinese president will visit the country. President Kagame visited China last year. Christy Scull, CGTN.
