Liverpool's win over Tottenham not only sparked scenes of joy in England and Madrid, but also in Egypt. Football fans in the North African nation give huge backing to the Reds because of their star forward Mohamed Salah, and now he's given his home fans something to cheer about. CGTN's Adel El Mahrouky has more.

Egyptian football fans have anxiously been waiting for this moment. To see their favorite star, Mohamed Salah, get a second chance in the Champions League. And with his opening goal, he didn't let his fans down.

Mo helped bring the Champions League trophy back to Liverpool. In Egypt though, he's made a much bigger achievement. He has become the first in the sport's history to participate twice, win, and score in such a Final.
