This video, filmed in Halifax in September last year, shows Katie the hedgehog, who is now seven months old, being lightly scrubbed with a brush in a sink. Hedgehogs have become popular pets in recent years, but owners may indeed be wise to keep them clean and mind their scent – hedgehogs vomit and pass wind frequently, according to a meme that began trending online last week with the hashtags #DoesItPuke and #DoesItFart.
