Chinese netizens are slamming Qiao Xin, an actress made famous by television drama “Ode to Joy 2”, for improperly wearing a firefighter uniform on a reality TV program, accusing her of not showing respect to them and their work.
The program “Date! Super Star” aims to help everyday people realize their dream, and the episode which aired on June 30 revolved around a retired firefighter at the Shanghai Pudong Firefighting Station.

Stars were required to change into uniforms during a mission. Qiao wore hers in an off-shoulder manner.
“I was really angry when I was watching you insult the firefighting uniforms. Please show respect to others then in return people will respect [you],” wrote Weibo user @Milidem in post on Qiao’s account.

“I think [she] should respect the uniform and it is a serious matter. This is not a runway for models,” commented @Luxifake-.
“I liked her when I watched ‘Ode to Joy” but [she] failed to pass the evaluation of recreational shows. Through the shows, the audience can see through a celebrity’s morals. You were in the firefighting station, so didn’t you feel your dress code was disgusting? Do you know how to respect people?” commented @daizhemengbenxiangyuanfang.

The wrath didn't just stop her attire, but moved on to her performance in “Ode to Joy 2,” which was a hit when it premiered in May.
“She was the worst one among the five main actresses in ‘Ode to Joy.’ Her face looked paralyzed…” posted @Ningpiye.
“Do not like her. Judging her an actress, she has a pair of dull eyes and her performance is bad,” commented @Nishenmeshenmedoubushia.
Qiao has not responded to the criticism but her latest Weibo post was flooded with over 20,000 comments pointing to her improper attire.
