In Sao Paulo, Brazil's fans have taken to the streets to celebrate their first victory of the tournament. CGTN's Paulo Cabral is there with the crowd.
"I was holding my breath from the beginning of the match to the last minute. But the coach made good substitutions in the second half, and we were able to score two goals."
"I suffered so much. It seemed the goal wasn't coming. We overly accepted that it would be a draw, we were afraid that we would be knocked out of the tournament. And then they scored. It all worked. Thank god."
"It was tough, but it went well. Good team had to work hard. But there's no victory without a battle."
Fans here are still confident that their Brazilian team can be the 2018 champions, and managed to go through the qualifying phase of the World Cup, a victorious campaign the team did not lose a single match, also fared well in friendly matches.
PAULO CABRAL SAO PAULO "Brazil will now play against Serbia next Wednesday. A victory will secure Brazil's advance to the next stage of the competition. In this country, anything short of returning as champions would be considered total defeat. PC, CGTN, Sao Paulo."
